Bio

Sophia’s research interests center on the risk and protective factors associated with substance use and misuse among adolescents and young adults.

She is particularly interested in how adolescent social networks influence substance use and the development of substance use disorders. She is currently a predoctoral fellow on the SDSU, UCSD NIAAA T32.
